• Details: This is a really wonderful Mary Gregory glass bell, made by Westmoreland Glass Co.  Westmoreland is known for high quality glass and this bell is no exception. The company introduced a new line of 'Mary Gregory style' pieces in 1957 which became so popular they continued to make them until they closed in 1984. Westmoreland used pressed glass and white enamel decorations to create these beautiful images still loved today. This bell is red flashed with the most wonderful golden undertones!
• How to Use:  Excellent gift for a bell collector. Corral several on a vintage tray or mirror as home decor.  Although this bell is perfect for all seasons, we think it's especially nice as Spring and Summer decor because of it's outdoor country theme. Add to a Spring or Summer wreath.

• Condition: Vintage - Used. Very Good Condition. Original "Mary Gregory" glass was made between 1879 - 1939 in Europe, possibly Germany and Bohemia, most always mouth blown green or red glass.  This bell is newer Mary Gregory glass, made by the Westmoreland Glass Co between 1957 and 1984 and it's pressed glass.  To make things more confusing, Jeannette Glass and Fenton also produced Mary Gregory pressed glass, circa 1980's.
